The photo is cut to the document's shape and saved at 300 dots per inch, the usual print resolution: 3.5 × 4.5 cm becomes 413 × 531 pixels. On a sheet, as many photos as fit are placed 2 mm apart so you can cut them out; on 4×6 paper they go edge to edge when that fits more (2 × 2 inch: 6 instead of 2). No. Stand in front of a plain white wall in good light when you take the photo.
